Meet the Team

Chief Peter F. Roddy (Ret)

Executive Director

Chief Roddy has more than 33 years in law enforcement, including 23 years as Chief of the Leominster Police Department. He is a past president of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association and served 16 years on their Executive Board. He currently serves on the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Board of Directors and the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association Foundation Board of Directors. He is a former member of the Massachusetts Police Training Committee having been appointed by Governor Romney. He holds an M.S. in Criminal Justice and a B.S. in Computer Science.

 

David O’Laughlin

Director of Training & Use of Force Consultant

 

David has more than 30 years of experience in Police Training in Massachusetts and has recently retired from the Brookline Police Department. As President of the Massachusetts Police Training Officers Association, David was appointed to serve on the Executive Board of the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council by Governor Weld and ater appointed to the Committee for Law Enforcement Training and Education by Governor Romney.  As Director of Training for MPI, David oversees the development and implementation of all training programs and other interests produced by MPI. David is a certified expert in the Use of Force and is a recognized consultant in that discipline.

 

Dawn Thompson

Administrative Coordinator

 

With more than 17 years of experience at MPI, Dawn coordinates the day to day operation of the Institute. She is responsible for all matters of finance, record keeping, corporate administration and more. Dawn coordinates markets and executes our specialized training seminars to keep you on the cutting edge of law enforcement training. Dawn also manages all MPI publications including desktop publishing and sales.

 

Erik Abasciano

Multimedia Specialist/LMS Administrator

 

Erik enjoys being hands-on with the various stages of media productions including field producing, digital cinematography, editing, sound design, and motion graphics. Erik offers a unique bridge from overall aesthetic design to technical development.

 

Michael O’Boyle

Media Producer/Graphic Design
